A Richmond, Virginia native, Beatrice (Bea) Burton grew up in the Fulton area of the city and completed her public school studies in 1964 where she graduated from Armstrong High School. She continued her education through studies at Computeach, Inc., Computer Professional Training Center, Management Science America Inc., (Atlanta, GA); Process Management Institute, (Newnan, GA); and J. Sargent Reynolds Community College. She is also certified as a Professional Development Trainer.
For the past 33 years, Miss Burton has been employed by Tredegar Film Products Corporation as a Senior Accounting Analyst specializing in international accounting.
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, she is responsible for monitoring, reconciling and preparing account analyses, producing financial reports, performing month-end closing processes, managing a fleet of company-owned vehicles, preparing tax schedules and performing financial functions for the U.S., the Netherlands, Brazil, China, Hungary and Italy. She also reviews and approves accounts payable processed by the division and maintains a payroll interface system.
Miss Burton is an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. She has participated in many bowl-a-thons to raise funds for Junior Achievement and The Children's Hospital.
Since being elected District IV Vice President, Beatrice has added
another outstanding accomplishment to her life. She joined Toastmasters
International and is now President of Voices of Confidence /
Toastmasters International.
She enjoys traveling, bowling, reading, making latch hook rugs and collecting signature clocks. As a means of giving back to her community, she offers free services as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth-at-large.
