Welcome to Bea's website
Dear ABWA members
and friends, Our ABWA home has been in existence for 59 years and while remodeling has taken place along the way, I am excited to have the opportunity to actively be a part of the renovation. |

Seeing all of your smiling faces at the six District Conferences, so eager to learn more about Best Practices and Plan B, was absolutely amazing. So many changes were revealed and there is no doubt in my mind that you will definitely take advantage of what you learned. Everyone in attendance had the opportunity to vote for the new look of the website. If you have not surfed the ABWA website, www.abwa.org, please do, because you are in for a real treat.
Congratulations to the newsletter winners at the District Conferences and Congratulations to all who were elected Woman of the Year and/or Top Ten Nominees. Congratulations to all of the newly elected officers for 2008-2009, what an experience you are about to embark upon as a leader for the association.
Please continue to send me your newsletters because this is another tool for me to utilize and keep abreast of your group’s progress. While I know there may be past officers in your district, I am here to keep you updated and assist in any way that I possibly can. My contact information is, e-mail address, burtonbeatrice@yahoo.com and website address, www.beburtonabwa.com.
ABWA will Celebrate, Educate, and Motivate. Celebrate the past, present and future; Educate us to be whatever we want to be; Motivate us to actively participate in becoming Best Practice Groups. Please join forces with the 2007-2008 National Board of Directors and the national staff because each and every one of us can make a difference but when we come together, we can make a change. Not only will I be the First to Change, I challenge you to step forward and make the commitment to be the First to Change.
Let’s get the buzz started and join me in Covington, Kentucky, Oct. 2-4, 2008 for the National Women’s Leadership Conference.
In ABWA friendship and love
Beatrice E. Burton, 2007-2008 ABWA District IV Vice President |
